Our results revealed that there are two distinct groups of online poker players: the trivial many and the vital few. The trivial many play moderately, seemingly satisfied with the lower stakes that are offered, and their cumulative losses are not too high. In contrast, the vital few differ from their peers in terms of gambling behavior, and they play at much higher stakes.
